Emergencies

Outside of our normal opening hours, a vet is always available for advice or to see urgent or emergency cases. Please phone the usual practice number, where your call will be answered (by a person, not a machine!) and the message passed to the duty vet, who will return your call as soon as possible. You will usually be asked to bring your pet to either the Ludlow or the Craven Arms premises.

House Visits

We usually prefer to examine patients at our premises, where we have access to help from staff, a wide range of drugs and diagnostic equipment. However, if this is not possible, we will make house visits – we are just restricted in the service we can provide by what we can carry in the car. We will usually make house visits for euthanasia if requested – if possible we ask for some notice so that we can arrange for help if needed.

Payment

We ask for payment at the end of each consultation, or if it is an ongoing case, at the end of the course of treatment. Operations should be paid for at the time of collection. Please ask if you would like an estimate for a particular procedure or treatment. If you have difficulty paying your vet’s bill, please contact us promptly so that we can make arrangements. If an account has not been settled after 60 days, we will apply a 10% surcharge.
